DNS (MX/CNAME) change detection

5-minute ping checks
Lightweight HTTP probe every 5 minutes on all plans. Detects complete outages (Site Down) and server errors (Unavailable). When HTTP fails, a TCP diagnostic determines whether it's a network issue or a service issue. Tracks uptime percentage continuously.
Integrity checks
Full page fetch that parses HTML, validates every asset, inspects headers, and compares against baselines. Catches "up-but-broken" issues like missing JS bundles, MIME mismatches, redirect loops, and response time regressions. Frequency varies by plan (30 / 15 / 5 min).
2-of-3 retry confirmation
Every issue is retried before alerting. A single transient failure never wakes anyone up. Near-zero false positives across all plans.
SHA-256 deduplication
One problem creates one incident. Fingerprint-based deduplication prevents the same issue from generating duplicate alerts.
30-minute alert cooldown
Once an incident is reported, repeat alerts for the same issue are suppressed for 30 minutes. No alert storms during prolonged outages.

Every third-party domain your sites depend on is monitored separately. When a CDN, font host, or analytics service goes dark, Sitewatch names the failing domain and counts the affected assets — one incident, auto-resolved on recovery.
Performance baseline regression
Rolling p95 response time baseline maintained per site. Alerts when response time exceeds 2x baseline for 3 consecutive checks — detecting deployment-caused regressions that absolute thresholds miss. High severity. Included on all plans.
SSL certificate monitoring
Every HTTPS site has its SSL certificate monitored continuously. 30-day expiry warning, full certificate chain validation, and TLS protocol and cipher checks. Included on all plans — no configuration required.
Domain expiry monitoring

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account settings. Changes take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you keep access to your current plan features until the end of the billing cycle.
You can still access and manage your existing sites. To add more sites, upgrade to the next plan. No data is lost and no monitoring is interrupted on your existing sites. Instead of a generic "limit reached," Sitewatch names the risk you're leaving exposed — for example "this site has 4 unmonitored important pages including the Checkout" — and after you upgrade, a single click adds all of them to monitoring at once.

The Pro plan includes 30 SMS alerts per month. The counter resets on the 1st of each month (UTC). SMS is reserved for critical alerts — you configure the minimum severity threshold. Phone numbers must be verified before SMS alerts activate.
